Macy and Drew get married!

On June 24th, My youngest daughter Macy married Andrew Page in the Salt Lake Temple. It was such a great day and everything went so smooth. They are so in love and it made me so happy to be part of their BEST DAY! My daughters and sisters were invaluable to me and once again we threw a great party. We traveled the next day to Bozeman. We stayed in a great hotel and had a couple of suites (thanks to drews step dad). The open house there was fun. We opened presents that night and the next day we were back on our way to Utah. It is strange to have all my girls married, but I am so blessed that they have each chosen great men, that respect and love them, and that they are all so happy.

Montana Trip

I had a long weekend trip to Bozeman Montana to visit my Macy. She is newly engaged and it is hard to be planning a wedding with us in different states. So I drove alone and was able to spend a full day with Andrew and a different full day with Macy. I love them both and am happy they found eachother. I am of course stressed out about the process of planning another wedding so soon after Kellen and Alyssa got married. But this is my last 'girl wedding' that I have to plan. I should enjoy it. I love my girls so much and it is not easy to see them grow up so fast and finding great men to spend the rest of their lives with. Time just has flown by. I love each of my son in laws and am so happy that my girls have made such good decisions in their partners. Anyway, i left Macy and cried because I felt like things were already different. My children love me but they dont need me. I guess that is the goal of Mothers. To raise your children so that someday they dont need you. I am so very proud of them. They are such good human beings. They bring me such JOY. Thanks girls!

my beginning.

well, i have decided to try this blog thing. my oldest daughter, cali blogs and i get to keep caught up with her through her blogs. so I thought i would give it a try also. i am really busy and am not sure when i will find time to update it, but it is worth a try.

i have been married to jerry jewkes for 10 years. i have 3 daughters that are "Merrell" girls and 2 sons that are" jewkes" boys. Cali is 23, i think, and married to brett smith for 3 years now. alyssa is 21 and single and getting her lpn at snow college. macy is daughter #3 and is attending montana state as a freshman. She plays volleyball there and seems to be adjusting to life away from home. my sons are alex who is 16. he was being raised by his father when i married him. he was 4 the time and i have raised him since the. dallin is my youngest son. he is 10 soon to be 11. he is jerry's and my son together.

i work at costco in orem utah part time and have been a volleyball official for colleges for about 15 years. i work for big sky, mountain west, western athletic conference. i love it and it helps pay the bills. i do not necessarily enjoy working at costco, but the people are great and the benefits are really good. i wish that i could be at home baking cookies, but that is not possible. my husbands job has deminished his hours and i need to work to take some of the load off of him. maybe someday that will change. i hope so.

time to make dinner now so i will go and post again later.
